PROJECT OBJECTIVE
AND TARGET GROUPS
The project's objective is to provide tools for creating an enterprise culture where Equality is considered a quality factor integrated in organizational management.
The general objective is to:
-
Encourage knowledge, awareness, ability to read and assess gender differences in organizations. Our direct experience tells us that the main problem is lack of knowledge, sometimes even negation and, in any case, underestimation of the gender difference impact on organization management. We would like these widespread positions to be overcome and we suggest a reading of quality standards in which the gender perspective means, above all, a better quality management and valorisation of all resources for the development of competitiveness and creativity.
In brief, our general objective is to raise awareness in all interested parties (enterprises, employers’ associations, agencies who issue norms and regulations, accreditation agencies, certification agencies, training agencies, social parts, consultants) with regard to the meaning and value of gender differences to be implemented within Quality Systems procedures.
An extensive and generalized awareness should lead ISO (International Organization for Standardization that establishes standards for Quality Systems), to a formal introduction of a few requirements within 9001:2000 standard for the consideration and valorisation of gender differences.
By creating training modules, our specific objective is to:
-
Promote gender training through the creation of training models for gender mainstreaming in organisational processes, using ISO 9001:2000 standards as a guideline. No tool/guide exists for helping companies to learn about and apply Equal Opportunities, in the form of processes, procedures, actions and assessment tools. So we have created training modules for the inclusion of gender mainstreaming in organisational management, within Quality Systems management and audit procedures.
Training module target group: Human Resources Managers
Direct target group:
The primary target group are the Human Resources Managers in companies who have ISO 9001:2000 Quality certifications.
The secondary target group is composed of Human Resources managers in enterprises applying other Quality systems like EFQM or ‘Investors in People’, or that are not applying any sort of Quality systems but are interested in Human Resources management in an Equal Opportunities perspective.
In small companies where the owner deals with personnel management, the entrepreneurs are the target.
Indirect target group:
The indirect target group is composed of: training centres, employers’ and trade union organizations - as they are involved in the updating of the skills required to be innovative and are interested in investigating all possible fields to achieve competitiveness; agencies who issue norms and regulations, accreditation agencies, certification agencies, Quality Managers - as they play leading roles in the Quality and Certification systems environment.
Training module target group: Auditors/Assessors

The primary target group for these training modules are ISO 9001:2000 Quality System auditors/assessors.
The secondary target group is composed of Quality System Managers since they are directly responsible for application of the norms.
